DMart Supermarket

K2K delivered the civil construction for a new DMart supermarket in Jodhpur — one of the fastest-growing retail corridors in western Rajasthan. Working to DMart's stringent internal specifications and tight handover schedule, the project demanded precise coordination between structural, MEP, and finishing trades.

Scope of Work

The project covered the full ground-up construction of a large-format retail box: RCC frame on raft foundation, pre-engineered roof structure, external masonry and cladding, internal floor topping to DMart's heavy-duty retail specification, and full MEP installation including high-bay lighting, HVAC rough-in, and fire suppression systems.

Challenges

Retail construction for a national chain comes with non-negotiable quality gates at every stage. K2K embedded its quality lab team on-site for the duration of the project, conducting cube tests, slab level checks, and finishing inspections in parallel with construction to eliminate rework at the tail end of the programme.

Outcome

The store opened on time and has been trading successfully since handover. This project marked K2K's entry into large-format retail construction and demonstrated the team's ability to meet the exacting standards of a nationally listed client.
